I have declared this week National Mental Health Week. In honor of this wonderful week, I have decided to attend no classes except the healing and meditative "Qi Gong with the Jesus Guy". I have a teacher with soft flowy hair and a beard and dark, dewy eyes. He is the Jesus Guy. He meditates and speaks with a soft voice. He has a silly sense of humor and often cracks himself up. That was a worthwhile class. All other classes fall under heading "No Thanks". Instead, I have taken up drinking iced coffee in east village cafes with gentle, pot-smoking californians. Men in aprons, painters serving pumpkin bread, you get my drift. I have taken to buying flowery tablecloths from mexicans. At work, I have continued my "No Work, all the time" approach. Slowly, slowly, my mental health returns. I urge all of you out there, the 2 or 3 people who might ever visit pinkhairland, to do as I do. If you dread something this week - DONT DO IT. Life is short, and the weather is nasty. So kick back with a glass of pineapple juice, put your feet in a kiddie pool, and sing the chorus of that aweemawopaweemawop lion in the jungle song until everything seems better. Join me!
