And now for some thoughts on how to be happy in Springtime.
.) It is easy to be happy in springtime because the sun is shining and squirrels frolic in the daffodils. But if you feel unhappy in springtime, you feel like a big asshole, because not even squirrels frolicing in the sunshine make you happy. So.
.) I bought a pink raincoat from the Gap. It is the color of Maalox. It makes me happy. Pink is the new black. Green is the new pink. Aqua is the new green.
.) Get the stuff done you need to get done. I am sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, but you will feel better when you have accomplished the shit than worrying about how and when you are going to accomplish the shit. OK? As the great Lao Tse pithily quipped, "Do your work, then step back. The only path to serenity."
.) Do not, under any circumstance, watch television. Read a great and incredible book such as The Wind-Up Bird Chronicles, or Plainsong.
.) Kiss someone you would normally kiss, but more frequently.
.) Repeat this: I will not live in fear. I will not live in fear.
.) Drink really yummy things like mai tais or icy mango yogurt smoothies or cool fresh mint tea.
.) Don't leave unwashed dishes in the sink. It will only make Matt sad. Oh wait, that just goes for me.
.) Start planning really wild and wonderful easter baskets for people you find wonderful and wild.
.) Other:___________
