So, I am a nationally certified Acupuncturist and Herbalist awaiting my Illinois state certification to be officially official. So that is nice. i joined the professional association and am applying for malpractice insurance tomorrow. OK? So I did it. I will start practicing at the school where I teach, just two days a week until I start having a sense of what kind of a space I need and how many days a week I can/will/need to/be able to practice. The weather here is still gorgeous, now with cold nights, cool mornings and sunny warm days. We walked along the beach to a cafe this morning for good coffee and warm muffins, so that was very nice. A little girl was doing a crazy little circle in a square dance with her dolly and an orange. My friend Beth, whom I encouraged to write a guide for enlightened pregnancies, because she did so much cool stuff to prepare herself for motherhood, emailed me a list of things to do 1-2 years before starting to try to get pregnant. It was great. It stressed the living hell out of me though, so I am going to ignore it for a while. If any of you are interested though, I will let you know. She had a 5 hour labor, total, start to finish, with NO western medical interventions, and now has a perfect child, just smart and gorgeous and bright, and she did it at 34. So there. What else? I like teaching. I think I may have a quirky style. My students seem to think I am a little strange, but possibly a little cool. I like the gig. OK, so how are you? posted by pinky 5:30 PM
