I haven't been blogging because I have been too busy having fun, making friends, making money, and feeling great about ME! or...
I haven't blooged because nothing is going on. I still don't have my frickin frackin license, and I am starting to think I never will. I have scoped out a corner on the Northwestern campus that I feel is overdue for a hot dog cart, and am considering starting the first ever hot dog/chinese herb cart in Evanston. I have experience running a hot dog cart. However, I just realized you probably need a license to sell a hot dog in this fucking state, and a license is apparently something I JUST CAN'T HAVE. I haven't met any new people who I feel are destined to become my new best friend, but we have met a few nice ones. Our neighbors are having us over for dinner tonight, which is nice. I like dinner. Also nice becaue he is a chef and she is a pastry chef. Who wouldn't want to have dinner with them? I want to have dinner with Martha Stewart, she makes French onion soup with bacon in it. I like bacon. Oh my god I am rambling so bad but it is lonely here and blogging is almost like having a friend. How pathetic can I be? Let's see, maybe a little more pathetic.
I am really excited because in two weeks I am going to the Aveda Institute to have my hair cut and get a facial by aspiring Avedists. Then, housewarming party and halloween and birthday and visit from Sara, then to San Diego for a TCM symposium. So that is a lot of fun things coming up. Then I am having 2 thanksgivings! Then a few weeks to Christmas and New Year's and a new slate. There were so many changes this year, I am hoping next year is more about stride-hitting and cash flowing toward me, not just away. I have this theory that NYC is a major relationship, a whole person in your life who is a high maintenance but fabulous drama queen, whereas Chicago is just a place. NYC is never a backdrop, but I think Chicago may be a great beautiful backdrop to a rich life. So I am trying to get a rich life and we will see how my theory holds up. We went to the botanical gardens today which are so beautiful but have some goddamn annoying little fucking kids running through them. Matt and I were wondering if they could make a grown ups only day and have cocktails and stuff. We also visited an area of the gardens called "Nautilus and the Carillon" and couldn't stop saying that like Patrick Stewart. Say it like Patrick Stewart. It sounds like a good comic book.
Also, how come no one asks me for advice anymore? You guys have like, no problems?
